Keywords— Climate Change, Architectural Theory, Reflexivity, Modernity
The article aims to investigate and propose a plan for architectural thinking in the context of climate change. It highlights the need to understand the integration modes that enable architectural thinking with climate change and challenges the existing model to find a way towards making climate change central to architectural thinking.
The aim of the study is to articulate the needs and propose a way forward for rethinking the processes that reduce conflict and recognize the various value systems within the discipline of architecture. It seeks to change the orientation of writing an architectural theory based on climate change and redefine the realm of place culture in the regional context.
The research methodology used is reflexivity. The study involves a literature review of architectural trends and global practices in design. The article analyses the various integration modes that have evolved historically and situates them in time. The integration pattern is also analyzed, and the existing model is challenged.
The study is important as it highlights the need for architecture to adapt to the changing global climate. It challenges the existing model of architectural thinking and proposes a new approach that integrates climate change central to the design process. It suggests that this will help reduce the impact of architecture on the environment and create more sustainable and efficient buildings.
